Spots & Stripes Together Forever

$

This is one of my Christmas sale purchases from Simply Be. I saw the gorgeous Elena in this dress and love that it comes in three different bust sizes from B-K! Perfect for my huge rack! I love collars and don't own any navy polka dot dresses so this was nice to add something different to my wardrobe.

The dress has no stretch and is super thin material making it perfect for summer and will wash easy without creases. I don't iron so this is always a good thing for me.

I kept is simple with this outfit and because of the weather have added a cardi and leggings. Spots and stripes are two of my favourite things and I think they work well together.

This is a Project D dress from Simply Be I got in the current sale. It is the first from the range that I have tried and was surprised just how fab it was! The material is thick and the bust is generous enough to fit my huge rack with ease. The length is fab for summer and I love the shirt detail at the bottom of the sides. You could easily add a belt to change it up a bit. It is non stretch but comfortable. I wore this to the gorgeous Terrible Tumbles aka Ems 30th Birthday party. I did not get a good picture of her beautiful dress but I have stolen some pictures from Abbie!

I wore my new Specspost Navy, White and Red Glasses from the Ruby & Rose Collection. I have them in Black already but loved the colour combination of this pair. Specspost has become one of my faves for #glassesporn. Check out their website HERE or their instagram for the latest colourful and classic frames!

Do you have any of the Project D items? What do you think of them?

This is one of the dresses I bought from Simply Be on the Doncaster Rad Fat Shopping Trip a few weeks ago. It was £20 and is a size 20 but I can squeeze my boobs in and like the thick knit fabric and heavy feel to it. It has an exposed zip at the back which I hate but figured I would be wearing it with a cardi mostly for the next few winter months.

I recently did a review of a very similar peplum polka dot dress also from Bonmarche HERE and it a photo was used on their Facebook page along with 3 other blogger to show how the same dress looks on different sizes/shapes of bodies. As usual there were a few negative comments but some of these were really horrible. I was shocked at how horrid some people can be especially since it is was from a place where most of the followers are over 40 and really should know better. It seems like the younger generation actually have a better understanding of acceptance than the older generations. I am actually quite glad about this as it shows progress and learning from the previous generations misunderstandings and or ideas.

This is of course no fault of Bonmarche who are trying to expand their appeal and involving younger bloggers in their online presence which I for one think is brilliant! What fat person does not want another place to be able to buy quality clothes that fit?!

One of the comments mentioned about looking in the mirror side on before posting pictures of lumps and bumps. This person obviously has no idea what bloggers do or are about. I more than most am aware of what my body looks like 360 degrees form various photo shoots I have done on my journey of self love/acceptance and body positivity.

I bought this dress because I loved the quality and fit of the one I had reviewed and cannot pass up a polka dot dress! This one has a wrap around effect top which is lined so no bra showing through and lovely side detail which my blurry pic has not picked up. Sorry about that! Longer sleeves on this one and a great length for my 5'4'' frame. I just love this dress! it is stretchy and comfortable and thick enough for these not so warm days. If you have not seen the Bonmarche range then head over now for a look HERE.

I am fat and proud and love my lumps and bumps which include my boobs, belly and bum and everything else. I feel glam as hell in this and think I look pretty damn good! Love yourself and what anyone else has to say about you and your body has very little to no difference in how you feel. Much love to all the body positive people who read this blog and support out Rad Fat Community.

Here is a bright bit of Sunshine! Ok so it is not much Sun but it is some Sun! This is the second of the dresses I got on the recent Rad Fat Doncaster Shopping Trip. It is from Simply Be and was in the sale. A few of the girls had this dress already and loved it. It is a light non stretch floaty material that is perfect for summer but can easily be made warmer with thick tights, leggings or a cardi. I opted for a cardi and when I went shopping later I also chucked on my denim jacket.

I am wearing these fabulous SpecsPost glasses thats are blue with red inside and a layer of white in the middle as you can see from the pictures below. I also have these glasses black. They have these frames in other colour options in the Ruby and Rose Collection. I have quite a small face and these are about as big as I can wear without looking like my face is all glasses. If you wear glasses then go have a nosey at the frames on offer. Prices are cheap in comparison to designer frames from opticians. They fit prescription lenses included in the price and these only cost me £29.99!

Ohh my goddd! Were the words that screamed in my head when I saw this dress on the Bonmarche website. I have been stalking the site since getting my two polka dot dresses from them. See the previous posts "Glamour Polka" HERE& "Bonnie Bon Bon" HERE. I love the fit, shape and fabric so have been on the look out for more prints from them and they did not disappoint!

With flowers, lace and leaf print this dress is BOLD and Beautiful! I tend to go for reds and blues rather than pinks and purples but this is so pretty and I had just bought this pair of Zenni Optical purple glasses so had to have something to wear them with.

The dress is lined and stretchy and comfortable. It is loose enough around my arms and does not hug my pits like some dresses. The length is great for me at 5'3'' and the neckline is lovely too. There is a ruched detail you can see in the close up pic that is nice.

If you have not had a look at the Bonmarche website then I urge you to now. It is not just for the more mature women. They are really trying to cater to the younger woman too. Like I said before, the quality is great and the price is good too.

I love the purple/pink frame with milky inside and silver glitter corner inlays that catch the light!
Price is in dollars but is about a third less in pounds and postage is about £10.
Delivery is about 3 weeks.

Please also check out Kathryn and Hanna wearing the same Bonmarche dress!

Strange name for a post you might think but this dress is actually from the maternity section of Primark! the swing dress shape fits most sizes and shapes and I have no problem wearing maternity items. Whatever I like I will try to make it work.

I missed out on the Evans Daisy dress so when I spotted this I had to give it a try and was over the moon when it fit. I was going out for a meal so wanted to be extra comfy but would add a belt to give it shape in future.

I have not bought any clothes other than leggings from Primark for a long time as I really struggle to find things to fit. I am happy to say the cardi is also Primark and the shoes!

Also check out my Zenni Optical glasses at the end.

Goonies Are Good Enough

If you didn't know already, I am the biggest Goonie Fan EVER! With news this week that there IS going to be a Goonies 2 movie I sported my new tshirt with Goonie Pride! I always have a Goonie tshirt in my wardrobe but my last one died a few months ago and I got this one last month from HMV to fill the space again. I wore this cardi in my last post and knew I would get lots of wear out of a red cardi! The skirt is from ASOS curve which I blogged about HERE a while back.

The glasses are new from Etsy store VintageEyeGlassesCat in Australia. I actually bought another pair with this pair and got them reglazed with prescription last week so have been wearing the crap out of them all week. They are Vintage new old stock so have never been worn. I loved the almost hologram like stripes to the front and corner detailing. Check out the VintageEyeGlassesCat Etsy store for some amazing frames at great prices. Wonderful customer service and they were delivered to me in a week! I think Superman must have brought them to me.

Letting my inner Diva out a little with this outfit and feeling fabulous. I love the goth feel of the skull print dress and underskirt worn over the dress.  I bought the dress from ChatterMonkey aka AMonkeyFatshionista and she got it from Asos Curve.  Black cowboy boots and bead headband add are a bit different and I love it. Fake Miu Miu glasses and Fatshion necklace make this an outfit fit for a photoshoot or Diva music video. I can totally see the Horror/Hello Kitty Queen Miss Tess Munster rocking something like this!

No this is not a Valentines post but yes it is full of love for these awesome glasses.
I don't often go for pink but these specs were just so cute with the hologram stripes effect and blue glitter legs that I just could not resist.

I saw this AX Paris dress on Toni of The Left Of Perfect Blog HERE and thought it was super cute and easy to wear. It is a swing dress so fits all shapes and sizes and are great for those ladies with growing bumps with or without a baby in them.

The dress is a stretch fabric but found the tops of the arms a little snug and after washing and wearing once I found the fabric to bobble quite badly and the colour to fade. It is such a shame because it is a lovely dress! I strive to tell you the how it really is and when something is not great, I will tell you!

The shoes are from Simply Be and I blogged about them in my Birthday post HERE but I am only now getting to wear them as the weather is warming up at last. They are wide fit and super comfortable with platform heel.

Leggings - Primark size 20 £3

These glasses are vintage stock that have never been worn. I buy the frames and get my prescription lenses put in for about £15. I find it cheaper to buy glasses this way and just love the frames you can find which are always way more exciting than in your high street optician.

Evans Top Picks

I am so in love with the Scarlett & Jo for Evans Prom dresses! They are beautiful and glamorous. Everything I like in a dress. I have yet to own one but have tried a few on in store and find the fit and quality to be great.

I have seen the Live Unlimited collection online only and these pieces really stood out to me. I love waistcoats and I can totally see this one over a white shirt or tshirt and instantly looking stunning. I love the bold print on the dress too.

I am a sucker for a heart print and this one is super cute. Bodycon dresses are great and the print on this one is just lovely. It is also 30% off on the website at the moment so I have ordered!
With summer upon us swimwear really is a must for anyone going on holiday or taking to the indoor pool. I love the retro feel to these with the flower print and white piping and buttons.

Specs Obsessed

If you didn't already know I am specs obsessed then you have not been paying attention! I love glasses, glasses print on anything and everything! When I saw this on the Evans website I was surprised and happy to be able to buy another glasses print top. I am not a fan of hanky hems. I don't actually know any fat people who are but they seem to saturate the plus size market.

Being a RAD FAT that has no problem showing off my VBO (visible belly outline) the shortness of this at the front is not an issue but for most fats it would be. Which is why I don't understand the hanky hem as being a popular seller. I would much prefer a longer front and back. As I said it is not an issue for me which is why I bought it and wear it.

It is a Navy thin tshirt material and the glasses are printed onto the tshirt which means with stretch they do crack and I am not sure how it will wash but for £19.50 I can live with it. When I was on the website I had a good look and have put together a Top Picks post which is also up now so take a look.

What Big Bloomers You Have!

I wore this to the Rad Fat Leeds Clothes Swap on Saturday. I also gave my Big Bloomers Company/Big Tight Company - All Woman Anti-Chafing Knickers an outing. I saw the review Leah of Just Me Leah Blog (see post HERE) did of these and ordered a pair straight away. I have to say they are magical!!! So stretchy, comfy and not crotch meltingly hot! Perfect to wear with dresses this summer so I don.t need to wear leggings. I will be purchasing the black version and longer lengths. The only thing I would say is I would like them longer on top so I could pull them right up to under my bust and bra at the back. I would say they are true to size and don't dig into your belly or legs like some. These are not like spanx. They are not shapewear although they do give a bit of smoothing.

I highly recommend every fat woman get these and try them! Says it all really.

The Swap was packed as usual. Saw a lot of new faces which was great and lots of old faces which was great too.  I didn't get to have a good look as Franklin was with me and needed feeding. I still managed to get a few things though. Everyone that wanted to see Franklin got to say hello although cuddles were hard to get as Charlie kept him for herself. He also got to meet his future bride! Too cute. Love at first sight, for him anyways.

After seeing every blogger looking super hot in the Simply Be Pink Biker Jacket I managed to get one on ebay thanks to Patty - http://whatpattydifusaloves.blogspot.co.uk/ I also got this Asos Curve dress thanks to Mel - http://www.uponthesea.co.uk posting a pic on instagram! I got the jacket in a 22 as it was all that was available. I probably could have done with the 24 but I can make it work. It is a lightweight almost rubber material and oh so cute. The dress is a 24 and true to size. It has a stretch to it and is fitted under the bust. The arms are also a good size and not tight.

These pics are really rubbish. Sorry for the dark and grainy quality. I was going to take more pics but then I spilled my dinner down myself and had to throw the dress in the wash so I was stuck with these or wait to wear it again.

The bag is from Accessorize and is super cute! I will be using it a lot this summer. I is big enough for the essentials. I would love a big version of this or other fruit such as watermelon!

Another glasses post from me is no surprise since I have a passion for the little things. I am always on the lookout for new places to buy glasses and sunglasses at a reasonable price. I came across iclickopticalwhile searching insagram and was impressed with there range of cheap & designer frames. In this post I will share with you some sunglasses I got that are cheap frames and I chose to have prescription lenses fitted.

I placed the order and waited. I know from past experience with post from the USA that it can take 3 weeks for orders to arrive so was surprised when the package below arrived earlier than expected.

I opted for this cateye large frame in black and tortoise. I have quite a small face so these look larger on me than most faces. Each frame was only $7.95!!! Adding prescription lenses they cost $25.45 each which is around £15.00. Postage to UK cost $19.95 about £11.00. So even if I had bought one pair it would total £26 including postage which is pretty darn cheap! Any UK optician will charge £50 for lenses which is why I always shop online for glasses! For my American readers obviously postage will be much cheaper.

8729 Black Sunglasses $7.95 link HERE

8729 Tortoise Sunglasses $7.95 link HERE

I love these frames! They are a great size and will be perfect this summer for days out and also for driving. I chose both colour options so they would go with any outfits and accessories. Do you match your glasses/sunglasses to outfits?

Below are a few more sunglasses and glasses available form the iclickoptical website. I am loving the green frames and always love a cat eye frame! They have a great selection on vintage inspired frames along with the more on trend fashion frames. Why not take advantage of my unique iclickopticaldiscount code and order yourself a fabulous pair or two or three of sunglasses or glasses! Just enter iclick10lolly at checkout for a 10% discount!

Keep an eye out for my giveaway in the next couple of weeks too! I am such a tease!

Thank you to iclickoptical for gifting me $50 towards glasses for review and for a 10% discount code for readers.

Joe Who?

I have to say I have never been a fan of the Joe Browns range. It was always a little to hippy for me but a few weeks ago I got a little booklet through the door showing the new range available and I was blown away by all the beautiful retro pinup style dresses they had! I had skimmed past some of them on the Fashion World website as the pictures were too small and grainy to see the beauty of the prints. Viewing the high quality and detailed photos opened my eyes to the beauty that is Joe Browns! It is safe to say I am now a firm fan of this range thanks to this dress!

Fashion World were kind enough to send me the Colourful Coral 50's Dress to review since I am new to the range. I am in love with this dress! It is a thick cotton shirt material with stretch. I have a couple of dresses made with this material already and they are two of my favourite dresses in my wardrobe.

I ordered the 26 not knowing how it would fit and it is actually perfect for me. The length is great and the cap sleeve detail is very pretty. The neckline is great for my bust and I can see me wearing this dress a lot this summer. The flower print is beautiful and my Mr was very complimentary about this dress too. It would be perfect for any summer event and could easily be wintered up with a nice thick pretty cardi.

This past weekend my hubby booked a friend and myself into a Spa for the night. I thought it would be the perfect chance to show off this dress! We went for cake and coffee before checking in and the weather was lovely. I felt like a Summer Stunner in this dress! If you are like me and have not tried Joe Brown before then I can safely say that you will not be disappointed in any purchase.

My last post was a Joe Browns dress that I had nothing but great things to say about it and guess what! This one is too! I am now a firm fan of this brands new vintage style and print dresses. I want them all!

I was lucky enough to be given this beautiful Perfect Pear print dress from Simply Be to review. It has a great vintage look. I Especially liked the pearl detail of the buttons and round collar neck. It is a thick shirt material with stretch which I love as it is thick enough not to need ironed and comfortable because of the stretch. It is actually my favourite material for these type of occasion dresses.  It is a quality garment which will last years and never go out of style due to it's vintage look. I got the size 26 which is a perfect fit for me. As with all dresses they appear longer on me as I am only 5'3'' It is available in sizes 14-32.

I wore this on my Spa trip last weekend for evening meal and cocktails. It got many a compliment! I wore it with my New Look Watermelon clutch to be extra fruity! It was rather dark in the room so my photos are not great and even did some at home and light was again an issue! You can see the drawing detail and pearl buttons of the dress in my last photo. So in love with these Joe Browns retro dresses! See my other Joe Browns dress review of one HERE

Okay people if you don't know Betty Pamper of Pamper & Curves then you are seriously missing out on something beyond awesome! Go check out her blog now! Well not right now. After you have finished reading this!

Betty is a beautiful talent and amazing inspiring woman, wife and mother, hair and beauty expert and writer. Her husband Nicky Rockets is also a talented fella being a photographer and designer of the item featured below.

The Man behind The Betty has had a few tshirt designs and I really have no excuse as to why I am only now getting round to buying one. I ordered the newest design and was excited for it to arrive packaged with love and care with an extra little badge included!

Betty showing off her fab self and tshirt on her instagram bettypamper

How awesome is this design! I love logo tshirts with pinups and having one with such a gorgeous chubby lady on it who I have actually met in real life and is herself and awesome babe makes it even cooler in my opinion!

Crappy detail pictures as usual. I really need to sort out my camera or just learn how to use it! Anyways I wore the tshirt with my new ASOS Curve Skater skirt and New Look Watermelon clutch with red accessories for that extra pop.

I went for the xxxl and it is big enough for my size 26 and 44J body and bust. I got the round neck version and cut the neck bigger and the sleeves shorter. You can buy a version which has already been cut if you don't trust yourself with scissors!

Broke out the Charcoal Designs Cherry necklace for this pinup inspired outfit.
